Hi! I’m Gracie, the artist behind Glitter Thumb—a queer, colorful, thrift-loving sewing artist based in NYC.
I learned to sew as a kid but picked it back up about three years ago, and now I can’t imagine my life without it! Most of my materials are thrifted or secondhand because I love the challenge of turning something forgotten into something completely new.
A few things about me: I’m a lesbian, former competitive gymnast, Halloween enthusiast, plant mom, and cat lover. I’m also dreaming of one day traveling the country in a camper, hitting up thrift stores, and creating along the way.
My art is inspired by thrifting, queerness, femininity, color, nostalgia, and making something out of nothing. I’m so grateful to everyone who follows along and inspires me to keep creating.
